Amerika Online was always more than just an Internet
column on whatever subjects happened to make their way
into the mind of Mark Amerika. AOL is an experimental
R&D platform where Amerika traces a trajectory over
time, an arc of knowledge that succumbs to the more
fluid fictionalization of an identity that is always
in the process of reconfiguring itself into a mediumistic
persona consciously networking itself into the potentially
disintermediated space of reading. The devoted reader
